First of all, an age is any world in the universe. It is
accessed through a specially written book which contains
a moving picture of the age. If you touch the picture,
you "link" to the age - you are sucked into the book and
deposited in the world it describes. For this reason,
small, portable books called linking books are used to
get to the ages. This concept was invented by Cyan, inc.
for their games Myst and Riven. Many fans of these games
have become interested in creating their own worlds, and
this is one of them.
However, the only real reason this is an age is that it
provides a nice opportunity to have a flyby movie. Otherwise,
it's simply a world to walk through, maybe solve a couple
puzzles. Thanks to Cyan for their idea, and if I happen
to say copyright anywhere for my graphics, it doesn't apply
to the linking book.
It's made with notepad - I've broken free of my reliance
on Netscape composer! I'd like to thank Steve Odgen's
Luna Entertainment website, and Internet Explorer's View
source option. Used together (along with some trial and
error) they helped me learn how to make the cool looking
selector images at left work properly.
If you want to know my name, download the game and find
out. Or, you can contact one of the many websites that
made me give it to them in exchange for a nice download
of their software.
Online, that is, at my website and a couple
webboards,
I'm known as Compiguana.
With questions, comments, constructive criticism, etc.,
e-mail me at compiguana@barrysworld.com. With junk mail,
e-mail
well... hmm... Any ideas?
